- Puedo Leer is the first lending library in Granada, Nicaragua
- Open to the public, with a main focus on promoting reading and a love of reading among children
- Motivate children to become lifelong learners in order to succeed academically and economically
- Provide access to books through libraries and free lending
- Provide teachers and parents with books they can use with children
- Educate parents and teachers on the importance of reading
- Train librarians and teachers on setting up libraries, lending systems
- Bring the pleasure of reading to as many people of Nicaragua as possible
- Increase literacy, assist in educational endeavors and make libraries community centers
